Wow Communication Foundation for Asia,a salute to all of you

It was a wonderful sunday afternoon when 20 young students and 4 teachers  from CCNHS-Main Campus and NDRVM of Cotabato city  arrived at Ninoy Aquino  International Airport to join the 7 day peace camp 4 at CFA compound Sta Mesa Manila. We were so excited to meet the staff of the CFA knowing that they were at the airport an hour before our arrival. The cameras amazed us because on that very day we feel that we are all celebrity who arrived  from other country
.Our experience with the CFA staff headed by Ms Bob Lopez in the Training Department  was truly a remarkable one. They deserve a salute from all of us because they are all service oriented people. It  really inspire us because they gave us  a 100%  warm accommodation and we experience to them the culture of understanding, respect and punctuality. The love for work and how to value the uniqueness of every student is one of the goal of the peace camp. The 7 days was truly a memorable experience to all of us.
The experience that we have  with the CFA staff and the participants to the peace camp gave us an  inspiration that in spite of everything, our dream to build a nation with peace and harmony lies in the hand of our young generation. CFA we salute all of you, your program inspire the students to continue the advocacy of  making our nation where peace reigns.

HISTORY

Cotabato City National High School-Main Campus was formally established in 1924 with its former name, Cotabato City High School. It was originally located at Cotabato Central Pilot School, in the heart of the city. After World War II, it was transferred at Sinsuat Avenue along the National Highway in an eight-hectare land donated by the prominent Sero Family.
It’s name was changed to Cotabato Provincial High School after a while because it was operated by the empire province of Cotabato. In 1976, under the sponsorship of former Commissioner Simeon Datumanong and City Mayor Johny Ty, it was placed under the management of the City of Cotabato . Due to financial constraint, it was returned  back under the control of the national government on July 20,1977. From Cotabato City High School, it was later changed to  Cotabato City National High School.

The Principal, Dr. Payakan G. Tilendo ran the school from 1975 to 1983, until it’s conversion to Cotabato City State Polytechnic College on September 27, 1983. However, in 1986, the new President of the college, Br. Bologiong Pendaliday , turned over the school to DECS Regional office in recognition of DECS Order No. 5, series of 1988, which orders state colleges to transfer secondary schools under the management of the DECS.

The turn over did not include the original site and facilities, instead, only a portion of the school was given back. This was contested for years by both parties, the CCSPC and CCNHS-Main. But it did not stop the teachers, parents and students to struggle to retain the identity of the school. Their efforts paid off when former Maguindanao Congressman Didagen P. Dilangalen re-established the institution under House Bill 6262 in 2000. The school has slowly regained back its stature. It is still located along Sinsuat Avenue and has a building that serves a its landmark.
It is still located along Sinsuat Avenue and has four new buildings. These landmarks were constructed progressively under the leadership of former principals Bai Isradean Sinsuat-Datukan and Dr. Joaquin E. España.
Today, under the administration of the new principal, Dr. Panfilo O. Cedeño, the school has undergone a multi transformation. Dr. Cedeño has brought with him quality leadership which paved the way for the development of the school in all aspects. CCNHS-Main stands proud as a leader school. The principal has accomplished overwhelmingly a string of changes which are very much visible.
